About me

I graduated from a University in Brazil with a degree in tourism.  My degree led me to a few jobs working at travel agencies and hotels.  After spending some time at those jobs, I knew that I could not spend my entire life being confined to a desk.  While I was doing this work, I was also doing some modeling on the side.  One day, I received an invitation to do a contest for Playboy magazine.   I was not sure what to think because I had never done anything like that before.

The contest was very difficult because it involved thousands of girls from all over Brazil.  I was lucky and ended up as a Playmate and became a member of the Playboy team.

After working with Playboy, a supplement store in Brazil invited me to do a marketing campaign for their store.  It was while I was speaking with the owner of the store that I saw, for the first time, a poster of Monica Brant on the wall.
I had never seen a woman like that before in my life and I was shocked.  I thought she looked so amazing.  After that, I started to learn more and more about the sport.  At this time the sport was not popular at all in Brazil.

I started to learn more about the sport and the more that I learned, the more I wanted to do it.  I wanted to be more than a simple model and I was looking for a challenge.  I felt this was something that I could pass on to people; to let them know they were capable of making a change as well.

Again, I was lucky and fortunate to have great trainers who taught me the best way to train and helped to educate me about nutrition.  My first trainer was in Brazil and my second trainer was in Florida.

Since I began competing in 2008, I became the first figure competitor from Brazil to take 1st place in a Pro Show (Atlantic City 2009).  That allowed me to take part in the Olympia this year where I placed well for being a first-time competitor.
